THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES SELECTS STAR 99.7

Charleston, SC (January 9, 2024) – When President Joe Biden decided to visit Charleston, he agreed to a single radio interview, with the people’s station, WXST-FM, Star 99.7.

Monday, as part of his campaign kickoff, President Biden traveled to the state that helped him secure the Democratic nomination in the 2020 election. On this trip to the Holy City, the President spoke at the historic Mother Emanuel A.M.E. Church, where nine black parishioners were murdered in 2015.

Following his speech, the President made a visit to Hannibal’s Soul Kitchen, the family-owned restaurant known as the place that “feeds the soul of the city.” It was at Hannibal’s that Mr. Biden sat down to speak with Star 99.7.

The conversation with President Biden touched on a number of topics important to Lowcountry residents. You’ll hear the personal thoughts of POTUS on issues ranging from women’s reproductive rights to student loan debt relief and more! The one-on-one interview will be played in its entirety this Friday morning at 7:15 during Savannah J and Friends, inside the Steve Harvey Morning Show on Star 99.7.
