ON-AIR PERSONALITIES

BROOKE
MON-FRI 5A-10A | SAT 2P-7P
Brooke Ryan was “Charleston’s Party Girl” for years before marrying the love of her life, Jim. Now an established local and recognized voice of the popular Two Girls & a Guy morning show on Mix 95.9, Brooke is better known for trendsetting in her popular 3 Things Brooke Loves blog and her work raising awareness for local charity Camp Rise Above. After-hours and on weekends you’re most likely to find Brooke and her husband socializing at Shem Creek or walking their dogs BeBop and Rocksteady throughout Mt. Pleasant.  You’ll probably never find someone who loooves living the #lowcountrylife more than #2GG’s Brooke Ryan! As one of the most sought-after spokespeople in the Lowcountry, Brooke attaches her name to only the most reputable clients including Lowcountry Plastic Surgery, Diamonds Direct, Preferred Home Services and others. Brooke is a multi-year winner of several Charleston “Best Of” awards such as Best Local Morning Show and Best Radio Personality.
TANYA
MON-FRI 5A-10A
Considered the “Mom” and voice of reason on the Two Girls & a Guy morning show, Tanya specializes in a unique brand of “tough love” for both parents and kids. As an experienced single parent of four, she’s a firm believer in not being your kid’s best friend and never negotiating with teenagers! Radio wasn’t originally part of her career path – she wanted to be a state trooper and has a degree in accounting. She even worked in the radio station’s business department until her future cohost, Mike, invited her to audition on #2GG. Twice divorced and currently in a long-term relationship, Tanya adds her life experience, hilarious stories and amazing laugh to the Lowcountry morning rush hour. Tanya is a sought-after endorser of established local businesses like Starling Chevrolet, Jeff Cook Real Estate, Wing Stop, Diamonds Direct and others. Tanya and the #2GG crew are proud multi-year winners of the local “Charleston Best Of” awards, including Best Local Morning Show and Radio Personality.
JAY SHADIX
MON-FRI 10A-2P | SAT 9A-2P
Jay proudly considers himself “Northern by birth, Southern by choice”, having moved to the Lowcountry as a teenager. Jay graduated from Goose Creek High, where he met his lovely wife. Together they raised their amazing son and daughter, and recently built a new home in Summerville. In addition to being an Army veteran and radio personality, Jay is also an actor. You can see him portraying a variety of characters on the locally filmed Netflix show Outer Banks, the Netflix movie Red Notice, and even as Peyton Manning’s body double for a series of Super Bowl Commercials. When he’s not on your radio, tv, or movie screen – Jay can often be found with a saw or drill in-hand while getting into some pretty serious DIY projects!
JOE ROSATI
MON-FRI 2P-7P
Joe began his career in 1995 at WENU-FM/Glens Falls, NY. After filling in to cover sports on the morning show, the program director gave him his first on-air job. And, by 1997, his company owned six radio properties in town, eventually promoting him from overnights to evenings to afternoons and would sometimes be on air from 10 AM-midnight on three different stations in one day. Rough schedule? Not for Joe, who was eager to learn every aspect of the radio business! Joe’s career progressed to be on-air at some of America’s most successful radio stations including FLY 92/Albany, STAR 93-7/Boston, KDWB/Minneapolis, and the legendary Z100/New York. With a growing interest in promotional production, Joe transitioned to Imaging Director and Midday Host for CHANNEL 9-5-5/Detroit before relocating to San Diego. Joe married Audra in 2001 while in Boston but as a fan of the New York Yankees, Audra did not hold that against him and they went on to have two wonderful kids, Sofia, 10 and Joseph, 8, and dog, Dino. When Joe’s not on the air he loves spending time with his family, going to the beach, and trying out new restaurants.
ELLISON
SAT 7P-12M
Ellison, the charismatic host of Mix 95.9’s Saturday Night Mix Show, also holds the role of Mr. 843 Deals, acting as host and videographer of the local deals program running across all six Charleston Radio Group stations. Born and raised in Mount Pleasant, Ellison’s roots run deep in the Lowcountry and in media, from his Broadcast Journalism degree from The University of South Carolina to his role as assistant video coordinator for the USC football and esteemed 2017 National Champion women’s basketball teams. Ellison’s passion for radio ignited at an early age, when he engaged with radio stations as a guest DJ, and even shadowed the popular Mix 95.9 2 Girls & a Guy morning show. Beyond his professional endeavors, Ellison can be found at events around the Lowcountry with his fiancé Devon and their pup Dakota or indulging in rounds of golf, culinary explorations and watching his favorite professional and college sports teams.
PARTY MARTY
MON-FRI 7P-12M | SUN 12N-8P
Marty was raised in Summerville, SC and attended Stratford High – GO KNIGHTS! Ever since he can remember, he wanted to be in radio and was intrigued with manipulating audio. So much so, that for fun he would use a two-line phone and a dual cassette recorder/player to call friends and record conversations. Later, he would edit the audio to make them say scandalous things they never said, but all of it funny! He later became passionate about the short pieces between songs identifying the station, called “imaging.” In addition to acting as evening DJ on Mix 95.9 (7P-12MID), Marty is the chief producer for one of the top performing radio clusters in the state, not only voicing but producing commercials and working on record label remix edits of songs. A true local, Marty has had the pleasure of spending the majority of his radio career, right here in Charleston.
