Joe began his career in 1995 at WENU-FM/Glens Falls, NY. After filling in to cover sports on the morning show, the program director gave him his first on-air job. And, by 1997, his company owned six radio properties in town, eventually promoting him from overnights to evenings to afternoons and would sometimes be on air from 10 AM-midnight on three different stations in one day. Rough schedule? Not for Joe, who was eager to learn every aspect of the radio business! Joe’s career progressed to be on-air at some of America’s most successful radio stations including FLY 92/Albany, STAR 93-7/Boston, KDWB/Minneapolis, and the legendary Z100/New York. With a growing interest in promotional production, Joe transitioned to Imaging Director and Midday Host for CHANNEL 9-5-5/Detroit before relocating to San Diego. Joe married Audra in 2001 while in Boston but as a fan of the New York Yankees, Audra did not hold that against him and they went on to have two wonderful kids, Sofia, 10 and Joseph, 8, and dog, Dino. When Joe’s not on the air he loves spending time with his family, going to the beach, and trying out new restaurants. |

Ellison, the charismatic host of Mix 95.9’s Saturday Night Mix Show, also holds the role of Mr. 843 Deals, acting as host and videographer of the local deals program running across all six Charleston Radio Group stations. Born and raised in Mount Pleasant, Ellison’s roots run deep in the Lowcountry and in media, from his Broadcast Journalism degree from The University of South Carolina to his role as assistant video coordinator for the USC football and esteemed 2017 National Champion women’s basketball teams. Marty was raised in Summerville, SC and attended Stratford High – GO KNIGHTS! Ever since he can remember, he wanted to be in radio and was intrigued with manipulating audio. So much so, that for fun he would use a two-line phone and a dual cassette recorder/player to call friends and record conversations. Later, he would edit the audio to make them say scandalous things they never said, but all of it funny! He later became passionate about the short pieces between songs identifying the station, called “imaging.” In addition to acting as evening DJ on Mix 95.9 (7P-12MID), Marty is the chief producer for one of the top performing radio clusters in the state, not only voicing but producing commercials and working on record label remix edits of songs. A true local, Marty has had the pleasure of spending the majority of his radio career, right here in Charleston. |

He is, however, most proud of doing local morning radio, knowing the listeners as friends and trying to make a difference in our community. TJ has been voted Best Radio Personality by The Charleston City Paper and Mount Pleasant Magazine, Best Local Radio Show and South Carolina Broadcasters Radio Show of the Year. Jessica Chandler moved to the Lowcountry almost 20 years ago from her hometown of Easley, SC. She started her career in radio in 2003 after an internship in TV. After realizing “news” didn’t fit, she transitioned into radio and worked in promotions, traffic and on-air for 11 years before joining Kickin’ in 2014. Jessica has been on the morning show with her partner, TJ Phillips, since 2016 and they are the only local country radio show in the market. Jessica and TJ discuss local and world issues and their daily lives – especially Jessica’s because it’s a hot mess! Jessica is a big supporter of the military and charities helping veterans and childhood cancer. She was voted the Charleston City Paper’s “Best Talk Show Host” in 2016 and 2017. Having grown up in Nashville, country music is in Hunter’s blood. Raised by a father who left an on-air legacy in radio, Hunter followed naturally in his footsteps. He worked for WMMS in Cleveland and WDSY in Pittsburgh where he was awarded “Best Morning Show” and “Best Morning Show Personality” by the New York Broadcasters Assoc. He also worked in Columbia, SC where he won “Personality of the Year” in 2015, and in Savannah, where he won “Best Personality” and “Best Morning Show.” Today, Hunter is creating his own legacy as a 20-year radio vet and proud Lowcountry resident. Hunter acts as Program Director for 92.5 Kickin’ Country, which was nominated for “Best Medium Market Station” at the 2020 Country Radio Seminar. Hunter is also one-half of Kickin’s light-hearted afternoon drive show “Hunter & Cush,” a proud father of three boys, a craft beer lover and avid disc golfer.
